The Wellness program will be separated into (1) one hour sessions and each session will provide the following:

  • Classroom topic for the week
  • Warm-up
  • Pre-movements/stretches
  • Circuit trainings
  • Warm-down (Cool downs)

This program will help to educate individuals on wellness, health, and lifestyle / behavioral modification. Classroom topics include but are not limited to:

  • Fitness Assessment-Orientation
  • Wellness and Fitness Performance
  • Injury Prevention
  • Stress Management
  • What is your risk for heart disease
  • Controlling Hypertension
  • Total fitness for a lifetime
  • Denial – Analysis of the Adversary to Wellness and Fitness
  • Do I Have to Live With Back Pain?
  • Burn Fat the Easy Way
  • Using values to live longer
  • Functional Fitness – Older vs. Younger
  • Flexibility and Core Strength That Helps Prevent Injuries
  • Weight Control – Lifestyle vs. Diet
  • Eating Modifications
  • Positive Thoughts
  • Embracing the Potential for Health

During these (1) one hour long sessions the following type of training is conducted in order to maintain the objectives previously discussed.  The following are specific areas of training that are conducted during the physical training part of the program, but are not all inclusive.

  • Warm-ups

    • Calisthenics
    • Medicine Ball exercises
    • Weight Training
    • Kettle Bell Training
    • Aerobic Training
    • Walking

    • Jump rope
    • Anaerobic Training
    • Specific areas are targeted
    • Speed and agility training
    • Self defense
    • Warm downs

In closing, we have discovered that with this type of training and education, people have been more likely to participate on a consistent basis.   Currently we have people from all walks of life enrolled in this program.  We have seen tremendous results in many areas such as:
